Edit core photos

The Edit option in the context menu of a core photo in the JewelExplorer opens the Core Photos form. With this form, you can look at all the core photos of a well in table format, and if necessary adjust the display depth of your core photo(s).

  1. At the top of the Core Photos form, the name of the wellbore for which you imported the core photo(s) is listed.
  2. The lower part of the form lists the imported photo(s) for that wellbore in a table with the following columns:
    • File Name   For information only. Lists the names of the original core photo files.
    • Core Photo Name  For information only. Lists the name that is used in the JewelExplorer.
    • Start MD (input)  For information only. Lists the start Measured Depth (MD) of the core photo.
    • End MD (input) For information only. Lists the end Measured Depth (MD) of the core photo.
    • MD Thickness  For information only, lists the MD thickness for the core photo, calculated using the values listed in the Start MD and End MD columns.
    • Start MD (display)   Lists the start MD where the core photo is displayed in the core photo track. To change, double click in the cell and adjust the depth. Press tab.
    • End MD (display) Lists the end MD where the core photo is displayed in the core photo track. To change, double click in the cell and adjust the depth. Press tab.
  3. Click Apply to save the settings and keep the form open, or click OK to save the settings and close the form.
You can use the add core photo and remove core photo icons listed above the table to add and delete core photos.
